I tried each of the following infographic design sites and settled on Piktochart to create my infographic for class. I mostly made this decision based on the available templates and seeing which ones fit with the internet report I chose. Here are the pros and cons of each site I tried.
Infogram
Infogram has an attractive modern interface, with a dark gray background. Users can browse through a variety of templates for infographics, posters, etc., even YouTube thumbnails and virtual backgrounds. A drawback of using this site to create is that it won’t let you download your work unless you have a paid account.
Easel.ly
The design display on this site uses rulers across the top and up the left side, which is reminiscent of a word processor. Easel.ly also has animated graphics that you can use in your creations. The free account has a few negaties. You can only download low quality versions of your work on the free account, and there are a limited number of templates to choose from.
Piktochart
This site has many free templates to choose from. Templates can be altered to match the color and style needed. There are 3D images that can be added to print or digital. Users can create videos and also embed YouTube videos into projects. Projects can also be downloaded in multiple formats. A negative is that you only have two downloads on the free account. This is tricky if you don’t catch a desin error until after you’ve downloaded it.
Hi Alex, your infographic is fascintating. I really like the topic you chose about AI in our everyday lives. It's interesting that most of us don't realize that AI is not always the robot type that we see in movies. AI is already in so many places! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGreat topic to choose and do your infographic. It was a wonderful set of information clear and concise. I too like that these resources are so easy to sign up for thanks to google.
ReplyDeleteHello Alex!
ReplyDeleteYour infographic is really inviting cute! I love the color scheme and the cartoons. I also like that they are all using electronics which ties into your topic. The information you shared is easy to understand and to compare, which makes it a good infographic!
I'll have to check out Piktochart. I used Infogram on mine and I didn't have a problem downloading it, but I may have used a free trial. Thank you for sharing!
